At first I thought I was a surrogate dad but after a time I realized that I was no more than a figurehead with no judicial powers. Now I am a deposed figurehead who is ignored in my own home.

You do realize that you're just asking for it....posting content like this LOL
You certainly have no control over the feels of others. When people/children,yours or not live in your home they owe you a modicum of respect and at the very least civility. Just realize some people never learn to behave like adults
